Thank you for visiting my food blog,  you can call me Thelma (my first name) , Marilyn which is my second name or Mar as most of my friends do. I am a proud Honduran who loves eating exquisite Baleadas at anytime! 


I enjoy spending  time with my friends, my family and beloved boyfriend.  When it comes to food, my all time favorites are potatoes, beans, waffles, ice cream, and my father's roasted pork in "Caja China ". 

My personal philosophy of cooking? One word: "INDULGE" Especially when it comes to cooking for someone, I think about it as a way to make someone happy. There's no better feeling than making someone happy, It's a pleasure.

I enjoy to spend time traveling, experiencing foods of the world and meeting new people. I've gotten the opportunity to live abroad  and learn from great chefs who have been with no doubt an impact in my career. I studied Culinary Arts Skills at George Brown College in Canada and got to be part of a Catering program at Lee Ming Institute in Taiwan. 

My biggest inspiration are my parents, I have five siblings and three dogs that I miss so much! 

I believe Kindness is everything, black lives matter, women's rights are human rights, love is love and that no human is illegal.  I'm a food enthusiast,  passionate baker, and devoted Catholic. Last but not least, a food blogger in the process.  

I've created this blog to document and share my work, my interests, and culinary experiences. My goal for this site is to create a space where people can find special recipes or inspiration to create their own.  Because my native speaking language is Spanish,  forcing myself to express in English is a good way to improve my writing skills as well. Although English is a language that runs worldwide, writing my recipes and culinary experiences in Spanish is something I'm looking forward. I haven't introduced the Spanish version, but I can't wait to share it since I have a desire to write for those who share my language and culture. 

What I hope to gain from this blogging experience? I hope I can share my knowledge and for that to happen, push myself to learn new skills from the food industry.
